CARARA BIOLOGICAL PARK - The huge Carara Biological Reserve forms an oasis for wildlife from a large surrounding area. Carara offers a rich biodiversity due to its transitional position between the dry northern forest and the humid tropical forest of the south.

Carara has fauna and flora from both ecosystems and a virgin forest that covers most of the park. This reserve is known for its abundant birds and plants and also for being one of the last habitats in Costa Rica of the Scarlet Macaw. The 5 hour tour includes breakfast and entrance fees.

MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK - Manuel Antonio National Park is deservedly the most popular park in Costa Rica, with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald waters and jungle.

Your guide will explain the history and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your visit, pointing out sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of insects and birds during this very informative three hour walk. The half day tour includes transportation, a guide, lunch, and entrance fee to the park.

The adventure begins with a 10 minute walk through primary and secondary rainforest. As you walk through the lush vegetation, you'll catch glimpses of the beach nearby.

Then you'll glide through the treetops from platform to platform with heights ranging from 60 - 120 feet above ground. Canopy tours offer up-close views of the rainforest canopy and are thrilling adventures. This half day tour has morning and afternoon departures and includes transportation and a guide.

The following rafting tours include transportation and guides. Participants should be in good physical condition. Rafters participating in the Savegre tour should be at least 10 years old, and rafters on the Naranjo River tour must be over 12 years of age.

SAVEGRE RAFTING - This full day adventure kicks off with a 4-wheel drive trip into the remote valley that is home to the Rio Savegre. Then you'll begin a fantastic adventure down the river that is perfect for all experience levels.

The Rio Savegre offers a wide variety of class II, III and IV rapids, as well as pristine waterfalls, swimming holes, and a remarkable variety of birds including egrets, toucans, osprey, parrots, kingfishers and cormorants. A "Tico" style lunch is hosted at the local small village.

NARANJO RIVER - This half day challenge is geared towards more experienced rafters. The beautiful river drops steeply from the mountains above Quepos through a breathtaking jungle gorge on a wild ride to sea level.

You'll pass through lush farmlands and thick palm plantations along the way. Water levels can rise quickly which increases the difficulty of the ride, so rafters should be fit and adventurous. This tour also includes a light fruit snack.

CROCODILE SAFARI - If your trip to Costa Rica would be incomplete without catching a glimpse of the large crocodile, take a boat ride up the Tároles River into the heart of crocodile territory.

This half day tour takes place near the Carara Biological Reserve and is also great for birders. You'll find a different perspective on the reserve and a chance to see the rainforest ecosystem firsthand. The tour includes transportation, a guide, and entrance fees.

TORTUGA ISLAND - The full day cruises to Tortuga Island are fantastic sight-seeing adventures. During the cruise, you'll enjoy soft ocean breezes and turquoise water as you travel to the island which is home to a variety of birds and pacas as well as lush tropical vegetation.

While on Tortuga Island, spend time hiking on trails or lie on the sandy beach and soak up the sun. Tours include transportation, a bilingual guide, Continental breakfast, and a BBQ lunch served on the beach. Soft drinks and fresh fruit are included, and alcoholic beverages are available as well.

PUNTA CORAL - Located on the eastern-most tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, Punta Coral is accessible only by boat. This full day tour will take you there in comfort and style aboard a fantastic yacht. Once you arrive, you can spend the late morning strolling on easy nature trails while spotting troops of black-faced howler monkeys, Amazon parrots, and a variety of hummingbirds and butterflies.
