|
The national park offers a number of hiking opportunities. The trail to the tip of the crater is full of diverse plant and animal life
and ends with a stunning view at the top of Rincón de la Vieja. On clear days you can see the Caribbean Sea, Nicaragua Lake,
and the Pacific Ocean.
Other paths lead past steam vents and boiling mud to waterfalls with clear blue pools or soothing thermal waters. There are plenty
of sites to see in this national treasure.

River Trips

COLORADO RIVER RAFTING - On the Colorado River of Costa Rica, you will experience lush vegetation, unique wildlife, and pristine isolation. The river typically features class II
and III rapids, but can become more challenging during rainy season.
Along your journey down the river, you'll enjoy lush jungle scenery and observe native wildlife in its natural habitat, including herons, iguanas, and monkeys. You'll also stop
along the way to enjoy one of the swimming holes on the river.
RIO NEGRO TUBING ADVENTURE - The journey begins and ends on horseback as you ride through dense, dry forest to changing rooms
where you can leave your dry clothes behind for the return ride. Then you'll walk to the base of La Victoria Waterfall where the real
adventure starts. You'll ride the rapids in Rio Negro for an hour and a half before riding back to the lodge.
