The following two river trips include professional, guides, equipment, and lunch. Swimming experience is required for
both tours, and participants should be in good physical condition and be at least 12 years of age.
COLORADO RIVER RAFTING - On the Colorado River of Costa Rica, you will experience lush vegetation, unique wildlife, and pristine isolation. The river typically features class II
and III rapids, but can become more challenging during rainy season.
Along your journey down the river, you'll enjoy lush jungle scenery and observe native wildlife in its natural habitat, including herons, iguanas, and monkeys. You'll also stop
along the way to enjoy one of the swimming holes on the river.
COROBICI RIVER FLOATING / CAÑAS - This classic float trip is perfect for any traveler, especially birdwatchers and nature lovers. As you leisurely raft along this
tranquil river, you might spot one of the more than 300 species of birds from the nearby Palo Verde National Park.
A delicious native-style lunch will be served at La Pacifica resort after you finish the float trip. This full day tour is the calmest rafting trip in Costa Rica, suitable for everyone
from children to the elderly.

Nature Tours

RINCON DE LA VIEJA NATIONAL PARK - This national park was created to protect the biodiversity around Rincón de la Vieja Volcano area. It extends over
34,800 acres of semi-deciduous forest and very moist forest.
After arriving at the park, you'll hike for about an hour and 45 minutes to get to La Cangreja Waterfall, which is about 195 feet high and is located on terrain
devastated by the volcanic eruptions. This full day tour includes transportation, entrance fees, a guide, and lunch.
PALO VERDE NATIONAL PARK - Palo Verde is one of the most important and interesting national parks in Costa Rica. There are at least
12 different habitats within the park including mangroves, swamps, swamp forests, saltwater and freshwater lagoons, and marshes.
This full day tour features a boat ride along the Tempisque River which is home to a fabulous array of wild birds and a myriad of creatures such as howler
monkeys, green iguanas and coatis, anteaters and crocodiles. This is a great tour for those who love nature and bird watching, and it includes transportation,

Canopy Tours

BUENA VISTA CANOPY AND NATURAL SPA - Ideal for the adventurous! Get close to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and admire the primary rainforest
in a unique way, zipping via steel cables above the canopy of the forest.
A short walk will take you to the first platform where you will begin the adventure, which lasts approximately three hours. After a delicious lunch,
a horseback ride will take you to the thermal hot springs, a natural spa at the foot of the volcano. This full day tour includes transportation, a guide, and lunch.
CONGO TRAIL CANOPY TOUR - This tour is located in the small town of Artola. The tour zips through a tropical dry forest with tall trees and other lush foliage.

Guaitil Pottery and Shopping

Guaitil is a small village located just outside Santa Cruz, the primary center of Costa Rican folklore. In this town, people make clay pots by hand,
decorate them with the earth´s natural colors and fire them in giant wood-burning ovens, just as their ancestors the Chorotega Indians did.
During this tour you'll find pottery of all shapes and sizes and will also visit the town of Santa Cruz. The 5-hour tour includes transportation
and a guide.

Horseback Riding

Los Inocentes is a beautiful cattle hacienda that gives you the opportunity to enjoy abundant wildlife and panoramic views. This hacienda features a
traditional house made from the most select native woods such as Caoba, Cristóbal and Guapinol.
During your horseback riding tour lasting about 2.5 hours, you will pass by different creeks, catch a glimpse of the Orosí Volcano, and search for local
wildlife. This tour includes transportation, a guide, and lunch.
If you would rather take a short horseback ride along the beach, just let your hosts at your hotel know and they can arrange it for you.

Arenal Volcano Combo
