Tortuguero National Park is one of the most visited National Parks in Costa Rica and hosts many species of reptiles/amphibians, birds and mammals along with thousands of different trees and plants. Tortuguero is a remote area in the North Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, there are no roads to get there, and access is available only by boat (or plane). During your stay lodging, meals and daily guided tours are included that will take you to discover waterways, lakes and canals around Tortuguero. Tortuguero’s shoreline is also one of the world’s most important nesting sanctuaries for Sea Turtles. Lodging is at a moderate level but very comfortable. Day 05 - Quepos – Manuel Antonio
Half day tour of Manuel Antonio National Park

MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK IS ONE OF THE MOST popular and famous National Parks in Costa Rica due to its wide variety of flora and fauna. The park itself boasts 3 different trails with very different inclinations, going from flat to very steep. You will be accompanied by a naturalist guide who is knowledgeable about everything you will see. The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course approximately 2 miles long (3.2 Km approximately). Throughout the hike your guide will stop to share information about the different species that can be observed; you will be able to take photographs or just admire the view. One of the highlights of this tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 species of monkeys that reside in Costa Rica. Halfway through the hike you will make a leisure stop at the third beach, located within the national park. You will have approximately 20 minutes to rest on the beach or play with the waves if you so choose. Along your hike you will be able to observe sloths, birds, and reptiles, as well as to admire orchids, butterflies, and tropical trees. The guides that will accompany you on this trip are equipped with Pentax and Swarovski telescopes that you can use to observe wildlife and take pictures with a different perspective. Day 06 Quepos
Kayak Tour in Damas Island- Half Day
This morning you will experience the wonderful mangrove ecosystem. You will float along the calm currents under a verdant forest canopy. You will set out on the Paquita River, facing an island, and will float along with the soft currents under a verdant forest canopy. Make sure you keep your eyes open to spot the innumerable species of birds, snakes, anteaters, and White-faced capuchin monkeys. While you silently observe this rich habitat your guide will offer

explanations about the flora and fauna found in this unique region. This excursion will take you through the natural channels and provide you with an ideal opportunity to observe species of Herons, Kingfishers, Ospreys, Frigatebirds, and other migratory birds. As you journey through the brackish waters you can catch glimpses of the island while passing under tunnels made naturally by the growths of the trees. You journey across the waters will last for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes; lunch can be arranged for before or after the trip. The kayaks are available in 1-passenger and 2-passenger format. No previous experience is required, but kids must be at least 8 years old to paddle alone.Children under 6 years old are not allowed.

Day 07 Quepos
Free Day or optional White Water rafting trip.

Day 03 – Dec. 01 – Tortuguero
In the early morning, your naturalist guide will take you on a two-hour boat trip to observe wildlife in the area’s canals. After lunch, you will visit Tortuguero National Park on foot, hiking on trails through the rainforest with your guide. Overnight Tortuguero.

Overnight at Manuel Antonio area hotel.

Day 07 – Manuel Antonio
Today, enjoy either a 1/2 day guided walk excursion through Manuel Antonio National Park with the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.  Or take a sea kayaking excursion through Damas Island, a local mangrove estuary. These protected inland waterways are a perfect place to learn this amazing method of exploration. You’ll get a chance to see white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, sloth’s, iguanas, and many birds.  Stop for lunch at a local seafood restaurant. Overnight at Manuel Antonio area hotel.

Day 03: Tortuguero / San Jose / Arenal
Morning flight from Tortuguero to San Jose.  Meet & Greet and transfer to Arenal. Overnight: Arneal Springs

Arenal Volcano at 5,437 feet..  Daily fiery eruptions occur with lava flows that can be seen on a clear night.. Arenal proivdes a wide variety of outdoor activities.  Enjoy hiking, canopy tours, horseback riding, or a refreshing swim in the Hot Springs.

Day 04:  Arenal
Today there are many things to do, its your choice or you can just relax.

The beaches located along the Guanacaste region are some of the most popular beaches in Costa Rica.  There are a wide variety of accommodations and boutique hotels along this 100 mile coast. The weather is usually dry and hot with occasional showers.
