A vacation in Costa Rica is an extraordinary trip, but the small Central American country has so much to offer that it may be difficult to choose what to do and where to stay. Jaco is one of the most developed beach towns and is extremely popular with surfers and fishermen. It is also one of the closest beaches to San Jose. Hotels include Xandari by the Pacific and the Club Del Mar.

Manuel Antonio is the place to go for exotic wildlife and beautiful ocean views. Hotels include the Gaia Hotel and Reserve, Makanda by the Sea, and La Mariposa Hotel.

Osa/Corcovado is touted as “the most biologically intense place on Earth.” Hotels in this bio-rich region include La Paloma, Luna Lodge, and the Pirate Cove Hotel.

Tortuguero is the place for a taste of the Caribben and lush jungles and canals. Hotels include the Manatus Hotel and the Mawamba Lodge. A very popular Caribbean hotel is the Almonds and Corals Hotel.
