As the resort is only accessible by boat or by air, you'll find the secluded location to be the perfect place for experiencing the Costa Rican rainforest. You package at Mawamba Lodge includes your meals, a tour of Tortuguero National Park with a naturalist guide, and a guided boat tour of the canals.

Mawamba features spacious and comfortable rooms with private, beautifully tiled baths and ceiling fans with tranquil garden views.

The rooms are built in fine woods and decorated in rustic Costa Rican style. Each room is equipped with either one double and one single bed or three single beds and can accommodate up to three guests.

Mawamba's proximity to the canals of the region and the Caribbean means that you have access to a number of exciting water-based activities like world-class sport fishing and boating tours to look for exotic flora and fauna.

Tortuguero is a world-famous turtle nesting site, and from July through October Mawamba Lodge offers late-night excursions to search for them along the beach.
